Welcome to the
Alliance for Physical Rehabilitation
website!

Alliance for Physical Rehabilitation is a not-for-profit organization incorporated in September 2009, for the express purpose of protecting the rights of physicians, physical/occupational therapists, and consumers to both provide and receive therapy in physician offices. The impetus of founding APR was the direct result of the Ethical Physical Therapy Association (EPTA), which was formed in 2004. The EPTA emphasized networking of PT/OT's working in physician-based settings. The leadership of EPTA, however, felt that both the name as well as its initial emphasis was both restrictive and limiting in including physicians and physician administrators in its efforts. The formalization of the APR is to more fully recognize and promote the comprehensive nature of all stakeholders involved in this vital endeavor.
